Who We Are
We are an art studio in Singapore that started making and documenting the landscapes of natural colours in 2020. Co-founded by Shirin and Liz, we hope that the interdisciplinary nature of our work can help pollinate more fruitful collaborations between artists and other practitioners, and support land regeneration work in our region.
We have been featured on the CNA series “Growing Wild” and Lianhe Zaobao. We also received the Good Design Research grant in 2021 to develop colour pigments with roadside prunings in Singapore

Shirin has been a freelance illustrator for more than seven years prior to Wild Dot. She finds creative inspiration in the unique qualities of natural pigments, particularly in their textures. Having taught art herself in various studios, she hopes that her work can enable art practitioners to be more aware of the environmental impact of the materials they use, and come up with eco-friendlier alternatives to some of the materials used.
She lives a double life at @drawmonsterdraw, where she illustrates original stories inspired by postmodern sci-fi futures and her love for cats.

Liz sees her practice at Wild Dot as a long journey to heal from art trauma in her school years (no joke). The unpredictability with natural colours interestingly became a way to let go of perfectionism, allowing her to follow her curiosities with plants, chemistry/alchemy and regenerative ways of living. As a maker-researcher, she explores how artmaking can support more harmonious relationships with other beings in today’s world.
Her previous work as a programme designer in maker education eventually led her back to nature, where she coached at forest schools and developed programmes in the urban farming scene.
