“When the Dust settles” is an invitation to see artworks beyond the aesthetics of commercialized colours, and into the materiality of found and made pigments. This showcase features a collection of artworks by Shirin Rafie, an artist, paintmaker, and co-founder of Wild Dot.
Through exploring the inherent qualities and customizability of handmade charcoal and earth pigments, she wishes to showcase their versatility and expressive qualities, and investigate how these colour pigments can interact with each other through a balance of technical control and explorative play through her practice.
