Situated on a private garden planted with giant forest trees and an indigenous kitchen garden, our time at Rimbun Dahan was spent exploring binders, resins, adhesives, and of course natural colour pigments. As our first overseas residency, we were trying out an approach to site-specific material experimentations and eventually, the development of works from them. It was also a very special experience where we met artists all over Southeast Asia, bonding over of course, food. The residency culminated in Open Day showcase, during which we all got to share about our work during the residency.

We are finishing up a zine of our material explorations during the residency. We will be sharing in this space soon.
